      Velocipede: 1810–20; < F vélocipède bicycle, equiv. to véloci- (< L, s. of velox quick) + -pède

      This project is dedited to the premise that the velocipede stands as the pinacle of industrial design and utility.

      The author's enduring love affair with the bicycle was forged in the austere Staffordshire housing estates of his childhood, shaped in the English countryside and tempered by schoolboy competition. His admiration for the finest invention of the industrial revolution grew with every turn of the pedal.

      Enter the world of human-powered, two-wheel travel, including touring, commuting and?randonneur or?audax cycling.
